🐠 Compatibility
Ideal for peaceful community aquariums. They can be housed with shrimp-safe fish such as ember tetras, chili rasboras, pygmy Corydoras, otocinclus, celestial pearl danios, and other gentle species. They also thrive in species-only shrimp aquariums. Avoid large or predatory fish, as well as aggressive species that may prey on shrimp or their young.
Important Notes
Blue Dream Shrimp breed readily in freshwater aquariums without requiring brackish water. Their deep blue coloration is best maintained through selective breeding and high-quality nutrition. As with all Neocaridina shrimp, copper-based medications should never be used, as copper is highly toxic to freshwater invertebrates.
Blue Dream Shrimp are a fantastic choice for UK aquarists looking for a hardy, brilliantly coloured freshwater shrimp that combines stunning visual appeal with excellent algae-grazing behaviour, making them an outstanding addition to planted aquariums of all sizes.
