🌱 Planting Instructions
✔️ Remove the plant from its pot and carefully remove the rockwool from around the roots
✔️ Plant the roots into aquatic soil or fine gravel, ensuring the crown remains above the substrate
✔️ Leave space around the plant to allow for spreading growth
✔️ Avoid disturbing the roots once established
Like many Cryptocoryne species, it may experience "Crypt Melt" after planting. This is normal and new growth will typically emerge once the plant has adapted to its new environment.
🐠 Compatibility
Perfect for planted aquariums, shrimp tanks, nano aquariums, and community setups. Its dense foliage provides valuable cover for shrimp, fry, and small fish.
Compatible with tetras, rasboras, Corydoras, shrimp, gouramis, rainbowfish, angelfish, and most peaceful freshwater species.
⚠️ Important Notes
Cryptocoryne undulata prefers stable aquarium conditions and may temporarily shed leaves when moved or introduced to a new tank. Once established, it becomes a very resilient and low-maintenance plant.
Leaf colouration can vary depending on lighting, nutrients, and water conditions, often developing richer bronze and reddish tones under stronger lighting.
Cryptocoryne undulata is a fantastic choice for UK aquarists looking for a hardy, natural-looking aquatic plant that adds texture, colour, and structure to a freshwater aquarium.
