Betta imbellis, nicknamed the Crescent or Peaceful Betta, hails from the lush waters of Southeast Asia—think Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Unlike their feistier cousins, these chill little swimmers prefer a calm life, especially when surrounded by plenty of plants and cozy hiding spots to call their own.
