Golden Mbuna

Meet the Golden Mbuna, formally known as Melanochromis auratus, a tiny freshwater fish from Lake Malawi. While juvenile and female Mbunas boast a dazzling golden hue, their male counterparts show off a fierce black and blue coloration. Some folks call them the Malawi golden cichlid or auratus cichlid, but we just call them cool.
