🔥 Orange Bee Shrimp (Caridina cf. cantonensis “Orange Bee”)

Add a rare and refined touch of colour to your aquarium with the elegant Orange Bee Shrimp. Known for their delicate orange and white banded patterning, these shrimp bring a high-end, crystal-like aesthetic to planted and aquascaped tanks.

Slightly more sensitive than Neocaridina species, Orange Bee Shrimp are best suited to stable, mature aquariums with carefully maintained water parameters. In return, they reward aquarists with stunning colour contrast and graceful movement throughout the tank.

🌿 Why Choose Orange Bee Shrimp?

🧡 Elegant orange and white banded “bee” pattern
🌱 Helps graze on biofilm and microalgae
🐠 Peaceful and shrimp-only compatible temperament
🪴 Perfect for aquascaped and specialist shrimp tanks
⭐ Premium Caridina variety with striking contrast

In the right setup, Orange Bee Shrimp will thrive and gradually form a delicate, visually stunning colony that enhances the depth and detail of planted aquariums.

📏 Care Requirements

🧬 Scientific Name: Caridina cf. cantonensis “Orange Bee”
📛 Common Name: Orange Bee Shrimp

🐠 Compatibility

Best kept in shrimp-only or specialist nano setups. If kept in community tanks, only very small, peaceful species such as micro-rasboras are suitable. Avoid all larger or predatory fish.

⚠️ Important Notes

Orange Bee Shrimp are more sensitive than Neocaridina species and require stable, soft, low-TDS water conditions. They breed more slowly but produce highly attractive offspring when well cared for. Shrimp-specific setups are strongly recommended for best results.

The Orange Bee Shrimp is an excellent choice for UK aquarists looking to step into more advanced shrimp keeping while enjoying a rare, beautifully patterned addition to a planted aquarium.
