Polkadot Loach 5cm

The Botia kubotai, commonly known as the Polka Dot Loach, exhibits remarkable social dynamics and visual distinctiveness. Endemic to Myanmar's Ataran River, these gregarious fish display complex intraspecies interactions when maintained in proper shoals. Their morphological characteristics include a yellow base coloration intersected by black vertical banding and distinctive horizontal stripes adorned with yellow spotting. A notable characteristic of this species is their ontogenetic color transformation, resulting in individualized patterning that renders each specimen visually unique as they develop.
